My name is Jeanie and I am a cat lover! I am also a quilter.
This website is a combination of two of my favorite things.
I have been sewing for over 30 years and I have made all kinds of things. I used to make most of my clothes as well as my children's clothes. Now I prefer to make quilts, as they don't have to fit!
I have been married for 32 years and we have 3 wonderful kids who are all grown up. My husband has been very supportive of all of my crafts over the years. When I made my first Kitty Quilt he said "Get a website" so here I am!
I made my first Kitty Quilt for our cat, Jackie. She was sleeping in an empty box, and I felt she needed something comfortable to sleep on. I happened to have a piece of fabric with a picture of a cat sleeping on it, so I whipped up a little quilt for her. I put it on the floor and left the room. When I came back she was all curled up alseep on it. She hardly moved off it for two days straight! Finally, some gratitude from a cat!!! I made up a few more and made some contacts and The Contented Kitty business was born.
I have since added other items to indulge not only the cat, but also the cat lover, as well as the dog, and the dog lover. It was the requests of dog lovers that brought about Canine Cuddlers.
